Yep absolutely.. cars need to be run and get to normal operating temperature. This lockdown is not helping.

Any owners with a one year old Puma contemplating an oil and filter change. I reckon low mileage and irregular use is more likely to need the oil and filter change than a motor with plenty of miles on the clock. My Puma is 9 months old and less than 5k on the clock with oil life at 67%.

Wdf76 you seem to use your Puma quite a lot so the oil gets time to do it's job unlike owners who do 4 mile trips and the like. In these cases the oil has no chance of performing as it was designed to. Maybe they are the owners who should consider a change after 12 months or so.

Mainly just to commute, apart from having to do a relentless 9hr trek last week. I thought that modern synthetics were well up to the job of engine protection at anytime even from cold. I've never looked in the manual for Fords recommendation for oil changes with lots of short journeys and lay ups etc. I did query it at my interim service the other week but no recommendations were made.
It's been like that for a few weeks. It happened last year and then came back with the recommended service date. Compared to 3 years ago the app is very poor.

Mine is 18 months old with 7.5k on the clock. Oil life is 24%.
That should make it to the first service when due in September.
