Fast Glass can remove polish residue (Iā€™m sure other car glass cleaners would too) but as Wdf76 has pointed out, tape or avoiding black trim would be easier.

Most polishes will leave something behind. You can get panel wipe, cleanser fluid or IPA but Iā€™d try what you already have in your kit before splashing out on something you may not use again.

šŸ˜Rog, down there your rain is like mountain spring water. Every time you get a shower it's a free car wash. Saying that, you treat me to a flight and I'll gladly hand polish your Puma.

2nd test starts today, think your lads are gonna show us how to playšŸ˜¬
Haha love it!!
I think you're safe on the pitch, though... :D

I use an eraser to tidy up any overspills on plastic trim. A bit messy but it works. I'm sure in the past I've used a polish that doesn't discolour plastic. It could have been a Turtle Wax product or possibly Diamond Bright.
Eraser, I'll remember that one ;)

Thanks everybody for the tips. Some detailers always carry a range of erasers, I use the hard type. I will be trying the car glass cleaner, i take it the black plastic trim does not get discoloured.

Some tar and glue removers will stain plastics. Plus external plastic trim fades over time. Keeping it topped up with a decent dressing with UV inhibitors will help.

Most dressings will give an added depth but some also are designed to restore, albeit temporarily.
