Aaarrrggghh 16 pages. Would you bullet the conclusions please.... 😁

It's not my intention to stick bits of rubber on to improve or fix a designers fail.....

+ Twice now I've approached my dealer for paint coming off the inside of the doors. I prefer to work with rather than demand but my patience is now being tested.

Conclusion there is that it works...
Quote when someone resurrected the Jaguar thread....
"The 'P' shaped one posted earlier works well. I just did the back doors and it's still working fine. The glue is holding up well too, still stuck firmly after more than a year."

I understand where you are coming from, however, Ford are not going to do anything about it, at least in retrospect. The most they will do is touch up the door edges. Even if they respray the whole door, the dirt problem still exists.
This appears to be a quick cheap fix that can be removed if Ford decide to retrofit something of their own..... :|

I don't have this problem - yet - having only done 200 miles since getting my car 4 weeks ago but would be interested in whether it works - if you give it a go

Agreed Sparks. I'm the only one in the car for the majority of the time.

I'll live with it

I think you'll only see changes at the next model update or facelift.

There are a lot of bits that could be sorted.

I'd have more time for my dealer/Ford if they said to me it is what it is and we're not prepared to do anything about it.

I'd like to know what they're looking into at Dunton.

Bit embarrassed that I didn't follow through on that suggestion. Always meant to, but, due to lockdown my wife had other things of 'importance' I had to attend to...

Well I’m still waiting for the dealership to take my car in for the inside bottoms to be sorted. I think I’ll buy some for when it’s returned nice and clean. Hopefully it will sort the problem. Might protect the bottoms as well.

Going to chase them up tomorrow as they promised me they would sort it in the New Year. A month is long enough.

Stoopo, please keep us informed as this is relevant to all Puma owners. My brand new Vignale is exactly the same as my previous ST-Line X in this regard. Means Ford have not addressed this problem in more than 2 years. How easy would it have bee to apply these strips at build. Pathetic.
