I'd been looking at the ST and BMW 128ti for a while now. The lower insurance, slightly better mpg and lovely low pressure sales person all swung me to the Puma. I pick it up next weekend and cant wait.
Its an ex demo, 6mths old, less than 2000 on the clock, Azura blue, assistance pack and panoramic roof. Its the mhev auto version so not full fat but Im really looking forward to trying an auto for the first time.
I had been into a much larger dealership last week and they had sold every single azura blue ST in all 7 of their garages. And of course my main priority was the colour!

I switch the stop start off on ours as if it's in normal mode the engine cuts too often, even when approaching junctions. I don't like that.
I would have preferred the 170ST over our Vignale, very similar cost, but my wife didn't really like the performance seats. I did but hey ho.

Every time the wheels stop turning (sometimes even before) however brief the engine will stop.
It will even cut out when the only reason you have stopped is to put the gearbox into reverse.
I have had 3 modern DCT autos from Audi and Mercedes with stop/start all operating the same way. I hated it with a passion so made sure to routinely disable it when starting the engine.
I have mentioned my feeling on this subject on different forums over the years and some owners said they were happy with the way it operates.
2023 Puma ST (1.5 200PS), Desert Island Blue with Driver Assistance Pack.
Not checked recently, but is there a setting that reduces/increases minimum speed for the engine on off. I always turn mine off so not looked at the settings for a long while. I'll check the settings later as I might be hallucinating....

Could be a Forscan setting.
I would like the creep speed to be a little faster too. Only because our drive is on a bit of an incline. Backing out ends up being a crawl and it's easy to give the car too much gas to overcome the incline. It's something easily controlled to a manual but not as easy with an auto.
Also noticed when in normal mode creeping up to junctions and then setting off doesn't seem to be as smooth on the throttle as it should. That could be as I just catch the car cutting out and it starts again.
