Unfortunately its a standard reply by all manufacturers and dealers, as they will never admit an issue unless they have to. The best thing to do is get the reference numbers from everyone else and submit them to Ford under your claim and ask them to cross reference all cases.

Hello everyone,
I recently started having this issue too! However mine started at 1st gear and now second gear went a week later, I dont ride the clutch and at first i thought it was the clutch untill the second gear went this Friday. This is my first time dealing with a car with a problem and i wanted to thank you guys for posting on this forum. I will keep you all posted as ive emailed customer relations about this just now.

You do right to go through CRC, sooner or later they are going to have to admit there is a problem with some builds.

Hi, I also just started having the 2nd gear issue. Everything absolutely fine until I changed 1st to 2nd pulling onto a roundabout. Made a horrible noise and kicked back out of gear. It will stay in if fully pressed home but then if difficult to extract.
Fortunately, i only bought the car less than 2 years ago from Ford Direct with a 2 year warranty. It's 70 plate with only 22k on the clock. Hopefully I'll be covered.
It's booked into the local Ford dealer on 3rd Sept. I'll update once I know what they find and say!
In the meantime, I'm driving around gently and missing out 2nd.

Same issue here on a 2021 Puma 125 with 35k miles. Looks like a complete gearbox rebuild. Covered under extended warranty but sort of erks me as first time I've burnt out a gearbox before a clutch (or even rear tyres!!)

So Mr B has this gear problem on a 2023 model 155. Previous postings seemed to show it was mainly limited to 2020 155s, rather than later productions and not usually 125s. This sounds very worrying, as I assumed Ford had cured the defect. This surely cannot be acceptable and needs to be clarified up front and out in the open. I am happy to write to Ford, suggesting that they look at this forum for basic evidence and asking for an explanation. Does someone have the best address to write to, please?
