Just got my puma yesterday and the Ford pass pro app is great for all of the info.

However, It has left me wondering, what is to stop someone downloading the app and taking the VIN number from my windscreen, entering it onto the app, unlocking my car and driving off?

Surely it couldn’t be as easy as that?

You should have set up a PIN in the app / or Face ID. Plus they would need your email and password.

No need to worry.

You could try this by setting it up with only the reg and VIN number on another phone. Won’t get very far.

Thanks. Yes, I have the pin etc setup but didn’t know if someone could essentially do the exact same as I did with their own details and my VIN.

Thanks for the reply though. Put my mind at ease

I haven't done this for a bit but don't you have to pair the app to the car with a pin number, during the connection process?
