Hi everyone,
Driving my st line Puma to France end of July. Do I need headlamp deflectors?
Am I correct in saying that the puma does it automatically?
Would like to hear your thoughts!
TIA
Driving in France
Likewise, struggling to find a reference to this in the manual.
I have seen this article...

... though not sure it's implemented yet, nor if it would work abroad or if it obviates the need for deflectors.

I think that article describes a different function where the lights follow the road as you drive.wgtwiddle wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 8:45 am Likewise, struggling to find a reference to this in the manual.

I'm sure there was someone on here early on who went to France without deflectors and didn't report any problems.
I'll look for the post that gives the answer, I think it was that LED's are fixed and OK for both L and R driving.
Non fixed LED lights will probably need deflectors still.
Perhaps one of our Continental members know if it works the other way around if they visit here....
Edit:- Found it.... viewtopic.php?t=679

Looking through the owners manual this morning, I was reminded of the "wrong way" alerting system and I guess that must be linked to the GPS so that it works as intended in different countries that drive on the other side. I also suspect that's why we all have to download the full European maps rather than a smaller UK only map.

Yea struggled to see anything in the manual too when I looked! Strange it doesn’t make it clear!
I've been right through the whole 440 pages of my manual, hard copy, and can find no reference to auto beam correction when driving in Europe. Seen it somewhere, maybe it was on this forum a couple of years ago. Sorry I can't be more specific.
