I am curious as to your reasons for picking a mid 80's car for being your best ever?
Would you really prefer it as a daily driver today over anything you subsequently or currently own?

I had a XR2 mk2 F plate....I absolutely loved it and it never missed a beat. However, to say it was my best car ever....NO, but at the time and for a fair bit later, it was. So, I do see where he's coming from.

They were plastic covers designed to fit over the headlights. Not sure about legality, but definitely not intended for night use.
I had them on for 2 or 3 years and never had any problems.
That makes sense, they definitely look the part to me πŸ‘

First Car: Ford Fiesta 950cc Base

Worst Car: Vauxhall Astra 1.6iS

Best car: Ford Escort RS Turbo Custom or Seat Leon Cupra TDI with Revo remap (Can't decide as both fun to drive), up until the Puma ST of course.

Honourable mention: Ford Escort 1.6 iS because it had an Alpine/Genesis/Infinity/Rockford sound system in it

i chose my xr2 as it was my first (sporty car) so was a big jump from my astra hence the most memorable of all my cars and what a car to drive around country lanes held the road brilliantly. my puma ad fiesta st where very close to be top too though.

1989 MG Metro Turbo - awful car but 155k miles of first car abuse.
1995 Nissan Primera - not bad, just efficiently dull.
2004 Honda S2000. Best by far, 70k miles / 10 years of 9kpm red line bouncing RWD fun.

I had a 2002 Honda S2000 from new and greatly regret selling it 6 years later. A wonderful car that I wish I still had

First - 1981 MG Metro - red, thought it was the fastest thing in the world! Ran out of fuel on my way to sell it!
Worst - Probably that metro. I dunno how many head gaskets it went through!
Best - 2021 Jaguar F-type V8. The noise alone makes it the best. But I did have an awful lot of fun in my '92 Pug 106 XSi.
ST-Line X 125 Auto in Magnetic Grey with rev cam, front sensors and heated seats. (Had an original Puma in '99 too)
F-Type V8 coupe!
