Hey Folks
I know there is another post on here about changing the reversing bulbs on the Puma which is useful, however it doesn’t show the full process from start to finish. (Most people can follow it and get the job done but I thought it would be good to have a step by step process just incase people aren’t as confident or that doing this)
Before Bulb Change:
1. Open the boot and remove this plastic cover (It will just slide off with a little bit of force)
2. Unscrew this thumbscrew and unplug the highlighted cable from the light
3. In order to remove the light from the body you will have to pull with enough force to unpop the plastic clip highlighted (or use a plastic pry tool if easier, be careful not to damage the lens when doing so)
4. The lens should now be free of the body and you will now have access to change the bulb. Turn the highlighted part until the two arrows on the plastic line up, this will then release the bulb out from the lens. (It only needs to turn slightly to unlock it)
5. Pull out the bulb and replace with your new bulb (in my case I have changed it to a white LED bulb, forgot to take a photo of the bulb I used however the bulb type is a 955)
Once you have replaced the bulb it will lock into the lens by putting it in and twisting it the opposite way that you did to release it and then simply follow these steps in reverse to put the lens back onto the body.
This guide was for the left hand light on my Puma, repeat the process for the other side of the car.
The finished result:
Hope this guide helps, if anyone has anything to add to this please let me know.
Apologies for the dirty car, I didn’t realise how dirty it was until I looked at these photos whilst posting this
[How-to-Guide] Rear Reverse Bulbs Upgrade
They were from Amazon, I can’t remember exactly what ones though i bought them ages ago for my old car but never used them until now.

Yep, I did say at the top of this thread that there was another post on here regarding doing this however the post doesn’t have the process from start to finish.

Great step by step tutorial you posted, I only pasted the link in as it gave the Amazon price/link to the bulbs used, it was in no way a dig at your own post, kudos to you for taking the time and effort to do it, what the forums all about, also if peeps look through the original post they can see one of the pitfalls of not following the correct procedure (which you've covered)

Oh my bad, sorry! Still new around here, wasn’t sure what you were implying by posting the link.BjNtheBear wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 4:21 pm Great step by step tutorial you posted, I only pasted the link in as it gave the Amazon price/link to the bulbs used, it was in no way a dig at your own post, kudos to you for taking the time and effort to do it, what the forums all about, also if peeps look through the original post they can see one of the pitfalls of not following the correct procedure (which you've covered)

@Rjconn no worries, I should've put some context onto my post to clarify

Just done mine (in the cold) and easy enough but why those plastic locating clips are so tight ..... stick a thick blanket on the boot lip. Holds the boot open. I used a plastic trim tool down between the light back and the metal to pop it loose. Paying attention not to mark paint, lens or snap anything.
Easier to slide the rear covers back on whilst looking in on them in the direction they slide so you can check the outer locating clip is aligned.
