Same here, never had this problem with my previous Puma, however the clips did snap on that one!
Replaced under warranty at the time.
Seems they've fixed the old problem by making a new problem.

I was experiencing a different issue: every time I closed the tailgate, the shelf would jump out of it's pivot mounts and end up on the floor. If I close the tailgate slowly, it was OK. It seems a pocket of air was pushing the parcel shelf up & out of it's supports.

A simple solution was to fit a small cable tie around each pivot. I only fitted the cable tie loosly so the parcel shelf can be removed.

Hiya. I’m new here. I’ve just picked up my Puma today. It’s a 2020 model.. and I’ve noticed my parcel shelf is hanging funny. When looking into it, it looks to be because the ball from the ball joint clip on the tailgate has snapped. I see that someone here mentioned it’s a common thing…. If this is so, where am I likely to be able to get spares to replace? Also what is the proper name as I’ve tried looking online and can’t find anything.

Thanks,

Lewis

Hi all, Has anybody had trouble with the plastic clips themselves that clamp onto the cloth parcel shelf. (As seen on Woosydives picture). Mine kept coming apart and the shelf ended up in the boot along with the two halves of the clips. Clipped them back a few times but still happened again. Turns out the small clips insde these are poorly made and would not engage properly when pushed together. I could not be bothered to return it back to the dealer for them to just clip it back as I did, so I stuck them together with a little superglue and clamped for 10 minutes until completely dry. Had no more trouble since.

If you're Puma is under the warranty the dealer may replace them if faulty. They will be difficult to remove if super glued should you have any other issues with the shelf. Also they may not be expensive from the dealer parts department.
