This happened to my car and it got that bad the shelf would flip up and part cover the back window. Took the car in to have new cords and clips fitted .THIS TOOK NEARLY A HOUR and after another hour it was just has bad? I put a small blob of glue inside the clip and this did the trick. The clips still swivel but do not pop off. Again a bad design and they must cost about a £1 per 1000

It's a boot cover not a shelf. Has to be a non fixed contraption so items of different heights can still be hidden from sight.

Well I've had mine for 18mths, in and out of the boot, back seats down etc. Still not a problem with mine.
If they are breaking, they are not breaking on their own?

Mine had been fine until a few months ago when I needed to take it off to get some big items using the megabox. Since then it seems to fall off at the slightest touch, so having a Vignale with tinted rear windows I decided it was easier with it off permanently !

I've had mine for 18 months too, and my ST-Line-X for 14 months before that and it's the first time it's snapped. Never been heavy-handed as they have always been flimsy. Just went to pop it off and the whole thing broke :-(

Had mine nearly 3 years, always take it off when I clean the car and never an issue? You lot must be heavy-handed.
Watch me snap one now I've said that
