Dirk Gently wrote: Mon May 15, 2023 10:42 am I've been escalating like mad with Ford to get mine moved out of Flushing, where it's been since December, and today it actually went to "COMPOUND OUT" and "STV SSVES", which I think means it's on the way to the UK at last!

People might be interested in an extract from a dealer call that was shared with me last week :

This is really interesting to read! Last update from my dealer was saturday, saying it is still at Flushing but that a car came in last week and the tracking still said Flushing but it just showed up at the dealership with no update.

My Puma has been in Dagenham for 4 weeks and hasn't moved. No update on system since 5th June. ETA early July but not sure if that's realistic as its been pushed back a number of times now

Trust me, it’s not just Ford…
The waiting times for vw ID vehicles, Cupra Borns and the Skoda just keep getting longer….
My mate waited 23 months for his Golf R….
It was worth it as it had gone up £10k from order
VW were desperate to get him to cancel….
It finally arrived last month. They even offered him money not to collect it!

My Dealer (Lookers in Colchester) tells me the time span for cars waiting in Dagenham is between 1 to 18 weeks

If true and I don't doubt it, the situation is dire, Once in Dagenham they lose all excuses around chips and parts etc. It's a simple logistics exercise from there on. The country is in deep decline if they can't sort these simple problems.
