Warranty extension

About to receive a 72 plate vignale. Considering extending the warranty but a year or two. Anyone any idea how much that is likely to cost or if it’s worth it? Would I need to extend at time of purchase?

Tried looking online but not finding anything.

I think when I looked it was £200- 300 and could be taken out at anytime.
Check on the Ford site. You put your vehicle details in and you will receive a quote

Thanks Mike. It seemed to say my registration didn’t match the criteria for some reason. I’ll try again. Got warranty for another 18 months anyway so no rush.

There are choices to extend when new, whilst in manufacturers warranty period , and whilst already extended.

You can extend with Ford on the website but it will only generate a quote when you are within six months of your three year warranty expiring. You can then buy it and set it up before your existing warranty expires.

Be warned though - you only have one month to sort it. If you don’t take it out within a month of your warranty expiring then you miss out.

Mine is £14 a month and if I sell the car I can cancel it - as long as I haven’t claimed. If I have claimed then I think I would have to pay it up to the year end.

At that price it was a no brainier as it includes breakdown cover as well as MOT failure cover.
