Oh okay. I did feel around behind the plastic but there didn't seem to be anything there. Meanwhile, it's booked in yet again. I'm sure they won't find anything.

Have you tried reducing the sensitivity in the settings?
Because the car in front slows right down to turn, depending on your speed, it thinks there is a possibility of a collision with a stationary vehicle, especially if you haven't put your foot on the brake (just in case).
changing the sensitivity may stop it being so eager...

Is the sensor under the number plate not for the adaptive cruise ? I have an ST hence no adaptive cruise BUT I do have the anti collision which I thought was using sensors / camera at the top of the windscreen ?
