Just for a bit of fun interested to hear what fellow puma owners rate as the fastest car / cars they have ever driven.
I thought my 1985 fiesta XR2 + 1982 escort xr3 were fast back in the days lol. Move forward many years my 2018 astra 1.6t 200 was pretty quick as so a couple of fiesta ST,s but the fastest car I’ve ever driven was……a Ford puma lol.
Not my st-line x but a mk1 puma rally car on a track day out , my god it was so quick on the Dirt track it was unbelievable…don’t think I’ll ever get to drive anything like that again.
Fastest car ever driven ?
My fastest car was the Audi TTS, great car.
The fastest I've done is 186+mph. At that point, the speedo stopped going up but the revs carried on....but that was on my GSXR 1000 Bike.

I watched a video on YouTube last night about a Yamaha R1 racing a Porsche 911 turbo on normal roads…I think the bike hit 175 and could have taken the Porsche anytime as so much faster accelerating but the car was quicker on bends etc.
Good watch but my god I couldn’t imagine going 175 on a bike let alone 186+ denty1964.

A car can out break a bike by a considerable margin too. On acceleration, it's all about not flipping the bike in first and second gear. The GSXR 1000 could do 140+ in 3rd gear. I gave it up about 12 years ago...
Fastest I've ever driven was the Jaguar XJ220. Fastest I drove it was about 130mph, fastest as a passenger around 190mph .
It was owned by a friend and those speeds were not on a public road....The thing was a beast and the forerunner of all the modern supercars and it scared the living daylights out of me....
I enjoyed off roading in Land Rovers more than speed though, which takes a totally different skill set....
