125 v155 revisited
I've had my Vignale 155 for for 5 weeks and completed 300 miles mostly short journeys of less than 20 miles. It's way better than my previous 125 St-Line X FE. More power/torque which means less gear changing which could mean improved mpg but it's too early for a comparison. The engine has a deeper growl under acceleration and I think the brakes are more powerful. Both cars have 18" wheels so maybe the pads or discs are different. There seems to be more stopping power. Tried sport mode and it's a big wow. Feels more like a 1.6 to 2.0 litre motor. Tried the slippery mode in the snow a couple of weeks back and it's faultless as was the 125, this despite the extra power. The Vignale has full leather seats which are cold first thing so the heating elements earn their money. The massage seats are a revelation and have a number of options to suit most tastes. I need more time and miles to assess the car further but already I'm more than happy to have made the change despite the long wait.

Good to hear something positive for a change

Might look for a 155 when prices fall abit more,as I dont want to feel short changed or like im missing out at all by having a 125 or a non hybrid 125,saying that my fiesta is the 100 ps ecoboost, even though alot of reviews say that the 125 is the one to have in the range or sweet spot, mines still nippy enough for motorways etc,I was going to get the non turbo ecoboost at one time thank god I didnt,it would have been gutless,I domt want to feel like that with a puma what ever choice I make as this will probably be the last car I buy powered by petrol,I was looking at a 125 non hybrid for £20999 in black with 19 inch wheels, comfort pack, driver assist pack, power tailgate, withn 11k on the clock, but its now been sold
I’d get the 155 if you can find one.Ali7487 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:35 pm Might look for a 155 when prices fall abit more,as I dont want to feel short changed or like im missing out at all by having a 125 or a non hybrid 125,saying that my fiesta is the 100 ps ecoboost, even though alot of reviews say that the 125 is the one to have in the range or sweet spot, mines still nippy enough for motorways etc,I was going to get the non turbo ecoboost at one time thank god I didnt,it would have been gutless,I domt want to feel like that with a puma what ever choice I make as this will probably be the last car I buy powered by petrol,I was looking at a 125 non hybrid for £20999 in black with 19 inch wheels, comfort pack, driver assist pack, power tailgate, withn 11k on the clock, but its now been sold
Puma Frozen White ST Line X 155 Winter Pack & Driver Assistance Pack.
Might be worth holding out for a 155,its finding the right on at the right price, motor point have a stline x in lucid red with everything on it for £23995,about £3000 out my price range
I ordered a 155ps engine over the 125ps, not for extra speed (not much difference really) but for the extra 30 nm of torque. I've driven both and the 155ps is certainly a better experience.
Puma ST-Line, 155ps, Agate Black, Parking pack, Rear privacy glass, Diamondbrite Premium pack.
