Think you have definitely benefitted from someone cancelling an order or the dealer having a car in stock here, congratulations. what a result! :D

Rismo when I called to change the spec dealer told me it won't interfere cause my built date was over 3 weeks away but clearly from 27th Nov till 12th Jan something definitely got in the way.

Chip shortage is bad but coupled with poor logistics makes it so much worse. Should be thinking about a Ford UK plant. Biggest market in Europe by far.

Ordered 02/10/21, was told delivery early February, Not heard a word from my dealership, Phoned them yesterday to be told no change on the system not even had a build date, how long was it before any of you had a build date after placeing order

Welcome !! From my own experience i placed my order of an ST Line X early September, Initially got told id be looking at December before the car was with me but took this with a pinch of salt. It wasn't until December that I got told it would be built that month, This then slipped to 7th Jan. The car was actually built 5th Jan and the dealer expects it with them 12th Feb. I would think you wont be far away from getting a build date but i know from what others have posted on here some of the build dates have slipped again.

Silver fox and Rogelio
If it helps you guys out I ordered my st line x on the 09/11/21 with initial hopes of getting it beginning of December 21 . There was a shutdown at the factory during October setting things back a bit , anyway my car was built and gate released 9 th November 21 with an ETA of 24/13/21 alas this did not happen . However was given another ETA of 10/01/22. And was informed last Friday afternoon that my Paula was at Flushing awaiting the transportation ferry to Dagenham so my dealer has said that on arrival at Dagenham everything depends on the uk logistics as Fords have their own employees and transport lorries they don’t subcontract that out . . My dealership guy has been very a accurate and had good comms . I have found this site and this thread very helpful and learnt so much about other people wealth of knowledge on the logistics of our cars once built .. I hope my timescales to date help you both . 😉
