Dealer has been trying to get me to change my car....The only thing he can offer that is of any significance to my First Edition is a move to a 155. I've been on two test drives in the last week, both in the 155 and to be honest, yes, there is some extra grunt, but, nothing that would make any difference in day to day driving, so, I'm not tempted.
If I ever change for another Puma, I'll go 155, but not over spec. That said, I doubt I'll buy another as the specs keep diminishing.... :(

Yes, most of the reviews would indicate that opting for the Vignale spec is a waste of money.

I had a 125 non hybrid ecobooost focus titanium x 2014 and that was quick, drove like all roads where flat on hills,I would be tempted by a non hybrid 125 if I cant find a hybrid with a decent spec

It's personal choice. I moved from St-Line X 1st edition 125 to ST-Line Vignale 155 and am more than happy. 1st Puma is now almost 2 years old, the 2nd is 2 days old. The cash difference was peanuts so it was a no brainer for me.

Good to know as there was some talk about not seeing a huge difference between 125 to 155. As I have tested both and ordered the 155 in auto x trim, I can say that the 125 is quite adequate and in my opinion is similarly quick off the line, in sport mode it is also quite responsive, but the 155 had better pull in the mid and high range and this is what I was looking for.Brakes were impressive on both even if the 125 had rear drums. Is it just me or the 125 seems quieter and more civilised? Or could be the sound enhancer on the 155?
Dont think the 155 has a sound enhancer... never seen/found one . But I have to admit I love the growl from the engine under acceleration, but I assumed it was a feature of it being a 3 cylinder engine?!
I think the sound enhancer is only on the 155 st line X trim, this is the one I ordered, so it may not be the case with the Vignale. My spec sheet sure has it, and me test driving the 155 X surely noticed a louder engine/exhaust sound than the 125 X I also tested.

Lots of American cars have the sound enhancer fitted. Some are switched others are auto. Think it's basically just a flap somewhere on the exhaust system.

Yes, the ST Line X 155 hp is a 'fake' sound through the speakers, the ST is real, through the exhaust.

Yes my motor has the enhancer through the speakers when in Sport Mode. It sounds great under a heavy foot. Not designed to take the granny out for a ride though 😉

I believe that the speaker version can be turned on/off via Forscan. So, not sure if it can be turned on for the 125 via the same method.....Cue someone checking.... :D
