I do love the comment "Don't worry though, nothing is wrong"! Clearly "something" IS wrong, like the battery is going flat!
Yeah - I simply started the engine and it went back into deep sleep as soon as I switched off. Pointless really. I’m driving to Leeds and back later but I’m sure that won’t be enough to stop it going back into deep sleep by the morning or even before.
Next stop for me, if they won’t change it, is a trip to my battery specialist to see what he says. He’s no mug nor money grabber so I’ll ask him for a written report on it and an estimate to replace it. Obviously I’ll pay him what he requires.
Have they reset your battery management system, this can sometimes have a positive effect.
Or better still (and to know it’s been done) just do it yourself.
Ignition on, engine not running. Ensure the lights are on. Flash headlights 5 times, push the brake pedal 3 times (repeat if necessary) then watch the red battery light flash. This has now reset the BMS.
Ignition off, then restart as normal.

I’ve not done it but I can check if the dealership did when they took it in for a charge a few weeks back.
Puma Frozen White ST Line X 155 Winter Pack & Driver Assistance Pack.
Not only a nice guy but also one of the best value in the area I think. I know a few who use him and wouldn’t go anywhere else. He certainly sorted my wife’s KA battery out earlier this year and obviously knows his stuff. I might just pop in for a chat first to see if he’s any info on the Rombat issues.

One more thing, if you choose to do it yourself (I did) make sure the battery is trickle charged first.

@Rizmo: Yes is was the supplying dealer that replaced the Battery and the rear discs and pads. Frankly any idiot can replace a battery, children working for Halfords do it daily, so it's not a big deal for any dealer.
It was Hartwell Ford Grimsby that realigned my tailgate as my supplying dealer didn't have a bodyshop. Hartwell just did it and invoiced Ford. No argument or excuses. I don't understand how you guys are having so many issues with dealers. Perhaps you need to have more "attitude" and deal with the manager and escalate to their head office it that doesn't work. Or as I suggested previously go there on a busy day and speak loudly in their showroom.

It seems that Ford and Ford dealers are reluctant to change batteries full stop. A few guys at work have had problems with Transit batteries in the past.. not starting, going flat easily etc, and whenever they've been booked in (these are lease vehicles so every goes through main dealers) they've always been told there's nothing wrong with the batteries. The only way round it is to book an appointment and once on the dealer car park, if you suspect an iffy battery, flatten it with the windows and lights so it won't start, go to the service desk and hand over the keys as if you're none the wiser. This method worked for our transits.

Shame on Ford and the dealers when owners have to resort to tactics like the above. Ford CRC can be helpful when the dealer isn't but it's usually a long drawn out process.
