@Rizmo I use the Autoglym Polar Series and use it on the entire exterior of the car. All applied through the pressure washer. Quick & Easy and good enough results for me.

I find Autoglym Magma very effective on the wheels and exterior. Will also use some Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax to finish everything off.

I'm not allowed to spend more attention on the car than the Mrs.

Custom wheel cleaner would be kinder than Clean Wheels. Less aggressive

Totally agree sinlessUK. Magma is also an effective wheel cleaner, but can work out expensive if used every wash on both wheels and body.

Huge fan of BH DSW. Easy on, easy off application. Great durability and price/size wise can’t be beaten. Nice touch that it comes with a decent applicator sponge and microfibre cloth too.

Only coz I listen to your advise NeilS

I'll use the Magma on the paintwork maybe once every six month with the Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax. In between that I'll use the freebie 5ltr Finis Detailing Spray Wax after each wash.

With a frozen white Puma it's easy to spot iron fall out and you can be quite conservative with magma and just spot treat.

Once your wheels are up to scratch you can prevent bonding contaminants using a wheel wax like 'mint rims' etc.

Once your car is up to scratch you'll use much less chemicals and the cost comes down.

Wdf76,

What’s your thoughts on Auto Finesse please?

I had a checkout full of their stuff from their range during lock down that I’d use/want to try but never ordered in the end.

Thanks.

Hi Neil

I use 'verso' (APC) and I have a bottle of 'tripple' their AIO polish.

No issues with either. I was sceptical about all in one products, but when applied by hand it's good to know you're getting some protection on a panel too.

Their marketing looks gimicky, almost fancy but like AG it's one product for one function.

They have every base covered and very good customer service.

Cheers for the input.

I’ll no doubt give them a go when I start to run out - got to try not to double up !

Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax.

It sounds too good to be true, but it gets very good reviews on Halfords and Amazon.
I've now used this. The first time you use the product, you apply a 'base coat', which means spraying onto a wet car, and then drying and buffing. Thereafter, you apply to a wet car, but rinse it off before drying.

I'd say it has improved the gloss, slightly. On a car that was badly in need of TLC this would work wonders, but as mine was in pretty good shape anyway I wasn't expecting to see much of a difference. But as I say, we both felt it did work - a little. It is very easy to apply.

If you try it, buff it up while it has dried to a haze. If you leave it to completely dry, it's hard work.
I realised that I had 'before' and 'after' pics. I promise I haven't photoshopped these, but the difference is quite remarkable. I didn't realise it was so marked.
