Hi

Recently purchased a Ford Puma, never had a car this new - it’s 8 months old - and want to look after it as well as I can. Had both my previous car 10 years each 😁.
I’ve read through all the post re cleaning but am unsure what to buy, someone recommended Meguiars ceramic detailer and ceramic wax but wanted some advice on what would be best
Thanks in advance .

Depends on what you want to achieve, how much time you want/can invest, what you budget is, even down to where you’d wash it.

Hi NeilS
Thanks for the reply.
Probably not got as much time as I would like to be honest. Working full time/mum/carer for elderly parents etc.

My previous cars have just shampooed and nothing else. Want to know reasonable priced car wash and what would I need to do to keep it looking ‘shiny’ and wheel trims clean
Thanks

Do you have access to a pressure washer as that’ll make it a whole lot easier?

You can’t go wrong with Auto Glym products. Not the cheapest but far from the top end price wise. More importantly, they have easy to use products which work very well and are readily available.

Places like Halfords often do 3 for 2 deals.

Floss, if your strapped for time you could go the valet route. Costs anywhere from £40 and up. Depends what level you want to be at. If the wheels are not cleaned regularly they can get in a right mess and take some sorting. Plenty of good detailers around the country and most of them are good. It's a very competitive business.

NeilS & Rizmo
Thank you so much for the replies and suggestions.
I’ll check out Auto glym and also local valets companies.

Have you considered >> https://www.autoglym.com/polarpressurewasher <<. Might fit the bill for a working full time/mum/carer for elderly parents.

SinlessUK

Thanks for the suggestion, I do have a pressure washer but very old so would need to invest in a new one I think.

I’ve decided I like the idea of cleaning it myself (for now 😂)
So just in the process of ordering products, one more bit of advice if that’s ok ? What’s best to clean the wheel trims ?
