Be interesting to know if the heated screen still works with a deep chip. You'd think the elements would be damaged making a chip repair pointless.

my wife is convinced its my fault when i get a windscreen chip - must be the way I drive, she says
It's bad enough getting the chip in the first place, but to then be blamed for it - sheesh!

It does. The think the wires are in parallel, precious Ecosport had a few gaps where the elements weren’t working.

Thanks. Apart from you guys most stone chips always happen in line of site. Sods law. Last one I had missed the screen and whacked the roof. That one cost me in dent repair + paint. How long is the backorder on screens?

I've been to the Windscreen shop and they reckon that because of it's size and depth a new windscreen required along with recalibration of the camera.
Problem is that Ford haven't handed over the calibration software for the Puma yet, so, have to get it changed and then book it into dealer for calibration.
This should be fun....

Booked in with the dealers. Asked for the moulding inspection and all software updates to be done while it's in there...........Fingers crossed....

Ordered Monday and being fitted in the morning.....I don't suppose it's a Ford stamped screen, but, as long as I can see through it and everything works, I'm not that fussed, just want it done.
