A sticker on the rear windscreen of a new car that says:- RUNNING IN, PLEASE PASS

Yes I know I'm showing my age and the young uns won't have a scooby what I'm on about :lol:

That's true, though I do drive very gently for the first thousand miles when I get a new car even though the manufacturer says there is no need to. It's not just the engine that needs running in, being careful for 1000 miles helps your brakes to bed in gently and that goes for the whole drive train too.

It's a very long time I'm since I saw a "running in please pass" sticker.

Something else I never see is hand signals other than the occasional v-sign given by ignorant prats.

With present day motoring there is little patience or courtesy. Tolerance levels are very low.

Tell what you do see. That's Range Rover drivers inches behind the car in front and terrible dangerous mums on the school runs that...........$%.....don't get me started.
Was so much more simpler in days of Angleboxes and Mk2 Escorts when I was just wee small lad.?

Never had an Anglia but I rolled my Mk1 Escort 2 weeks after buying it and my Mk2 Escort was a rust bucket.

Edit... forgot to say, I had taken out a 3 year bank loan for the Mk 1 that I trashed after 2 weeks. One big painful lesson learned right there.

I remember when you could work on your car with more space around the engine than what the engine actually took.
