Hi, I’m planning on giving my sons gf my old dash cam, she has a Hyundai i10, the ideal spot to mount it would mean sticking it to the sun strip, so the cam is discreetly positioned, will it stick to this ( not a suction mount) without it falling off.?

On some cars, you can feel the strips indentations and a suction mount won't stick. On others, it seems to be within the glass and smooth to touch, so it sticks OK. A sticky pad type mount will stick to either type OK.

Ford sell Rear view mirror pads that stick like poo to a blanket.

Possibly cheaper than a Nextbase replacement...
