We shouldn’t have to live with it though, Alan. This is 2022 and the car should be fit for purpose.

I don’t have the facilities to charge overnight. No garage and I’m not leaving the bonnet open all night on my drive.
Ditto! Also my dashcam has been hardwired in since day one of ownership and no issues as of yet.

Just checked the battery. It was showing 11.9v after my drive on Saturday. 48 hours later it’s now on 11.5v.

I disconnected the camera and stopped Wi-Fi updates on Saturday.

I’m awaiting the dealership to call me this afternoon to see if they can take it in for 48hours and both charge and condition the battery.

Dreading returning from our five weeks away 😕

Me too. It’s a great drive but the battery, paint and brake issues have put me off somewhat. I’ll keep it until the warranty runs out then decide on my next vehicle. It might not be Ford next time.

Booked in Weds for a battery charge and condition. Hopefully that will keep it decent for a few more months.

At least my dealership pick it up and drop it off for me. So it goes at 7am Weds and comes home 6pm Thursday. I get on well with their technical chap but I think they are stumped with this issue.

New Varta back in September seemed to do the trick but from about April this year it’s started shutting down sync after its not been used for a day or two. Even after a really long run from Durham to York, via Whitby, it raised its ugly head. It’s never failed to start and to be fair it’s not gone into deep sleep like it did with the Rombat. That turned it off completely and even Ford Pass wouldn’t connect.

I stopped checking the battery level until last week. I told them that 11.2v after two days parked up wasn’t acceptable.

Is it just the message that it's shut down to save energy, but comes to life as soon as you turn on the ignition? Or, does it not come on once turned off?
