Hello nice people
I just purchased a new Puma Ecoboost 1.0
and no manual was in(maybe its normal) but anyway i was wondering if it has the system that when you just keep your keys in your pocket and the doors unlock when i approach the car without me pressing any button on the key itself and locks again after i get out from the car same way by just having the keys in my purse, is this feature available? And if yes how to activate it please
Thank you.
Keys with approach
Do your front door handles have three little ridges/grooves on them (theyâll be just near where your thumb would rest and close to where an old fashioned key would go)
If so, you have keyless entry/motion sensing key fob. This means you can walk up to the car grab the handle as if you were going to open the door and it unlocks it for you. When you want to lock it, you simply place your finger on those three ridges and it locks (but donât have your fingers wrapped around the handle at the same time as it wonât know if you want to lock or unlock it)
It wonât unlock as you approach or walk away, youâll have to have some interaction with the car. The only time it will lock itself is if you unlock it but donât open the door. Itâll lock itself after a few seconds.
Of course, if the key hasnât moved for more than 40 seconds or itâs in one of those faraday bags, it wonât work.
Not all Pumas come with this as standard so you may find you have one that requires a press on the key fob.
Hopefully someone more in the know will pop along and help out.
If itâs new, it should come with a manual. Check in the glove box. I think mine was tucked away in there.

Manuals are hit and miss when it comes to the hard copies we are all used to. They are moving to an online version that is available through your FordPass app or via here:-
