Hello nice people :D
I just purchased a new Puma Ecoboost 1.0
and no manual was in(maybe its normal) but anyway i was wondering if it has the system that when you just keep your keys in your pocket and the doors unlock when i approach the car without me pressing any button on the key itself and locks again after i get out from the car same way by just having the keys in my purse, is this feature available? And if yes how to activate it please đŸ„ș
Thank you.

Do your front door handles have three little ridges/grooves on them (they’ll be just near where your thumb would rest and close to where an old fashioned key would go)

If so, you have keyless entry/motion sensing key fob. This means you can walk up to the car grab the handle as if you were going to open the door and it unlocks it for you. When you want to lock it, you simply place your finger on those three ridges and it locks (but don’t have your fingers wrapped around the handle at the same time as it won’t know if you want to lock or unlock it)

It won’t unlock as you approach or walk away, you’ll have to have some interaction with the car. The only time it will lock itself is if you unlock it but don’t open the door. It’ll lock itself after a few seconds.

Of course, if the key hasn’t moved for more than 40 seconds or it’s in one of those faraday bags, it won’t work.

Not all Pumas come with this as standard so you may find you have one that requires a press on the key fob.

Hopefully someone more in the know will pop along and help out.

If it’s new, it should come with a manual. Check in the glove box. I think mine was tucked away in there.

Neil explained that really well, but, we need to know your car variant and what option packs you have.
Manuals are hit and miss when it comes to the hard copies we are all used to. They are moving to an online version that is available through your FordPass app or via here:-

Have you looked in the top of your glovebox for the manual , you might not have seen it with the manual being black , inside of glove box also black and it is tucked away.

They must have got it sorted.

That, or they’ve locked themselves in and can’t get out 😆
