Went out to the car listing heavily on the drive and found this....

Flat.png

First flat in 20 years, luckily it's sat on the drive.
I can't see anything obvious causing it at first look.
It's really spooky, because I ordered a new tyre pump last night. :o :o :o It will be here later today, nothing obvious sticking in it, I'll roll it when I pump it up. Once I've checked it, I'll see if I can get a mobile fixer man out. Hope a new tyre isn't required.
Good job I don't need it at the moment.... :D

Why not give the repair and pump kit supplied a go?

If I needed it, I would. You still need to get it repaired after using the gunk, so, I'm hoping to just go straight for the repair.

Ah, apologies..lazy Sunday blues got the better of me.

Didn’t factor in the repair cost of the puncture AND replacement of the repair kit.

On that note, I wonder how many emergency repairs each kit gives and what it costs to replace - because I’m guessing only genuine Ford gunk can be used with their air compressor?

According to Ford you can only use each sealant bottle once, it should then be given to your dealer for disposal (this is probably only required to get you into the dealers for a new tyre!!). I can't find the price of a new bottle of sealant from Ford, but, others are charging between £20 and £40!!!
I've priced a new tyre, Continental Eco, at £143, so hope they can repair it. I haven't done 4,000 miles on it yet.

Tyre fitters won't puncture repair a tyre that has been filled with sealant. Use it and you will have to replace the tyre. It's a get you to safety solution only.

Only a bad tyre fitter... ;) It can be cleared out in most cases. Unless of course you leave it too long before getting the repair. That said, I wouldn't want to use it, other than in an emergency.

Ever asked a tyre fitter to clean one out? 😁
