Charging System Service Now Message

Hi,

This message came up on the dash with a red battery light lit up. Turned off the vehicle and restarted the car and it's gone, maybe a glitch?

There’s quite a few posts on here about this issue.

I’ve had it and it turned out (apparently) to be an earthing issue with one of the headlights, other people have said it’s due to a dodgy battery.

I would get it checked, especially whilst still under warranty.

Did it come whilst moving or stationary? Speak to the dealer. They should be able to tell what went wrong.

Had it as well while moving slowly then the auto stop start shut the engine off. Dealers saw a communication code took it back in for full test and they could find nothing wrong. Hasn’t happened since so guess a glitch as I have had new varta battery fitted and that was still fully charged

In these situations it is a good idea to take pictures of any dash warnings/messages to show the dealer. You can then demonstrate the problem and hopefully get a more positive outcome.
