All manufacturers use them, they just make the engine in the cab sound better (supposedly) by amplifying the sound into the cab, sometimes through the speakers.

I think we established that only the ST-Line X was fitted with eone..... I haven't looked in mine, I'll list it for jobs after the storm passes.

You don't have one in the Vignale AFAIK.

Just checked Etis for my ST-Line X FE (125) and it states “Less Engine Sound” so it’s not fitted to my version luckily 😀

Sorry should have stated, only the ST-Line X 155 has it, apparently.

For those still wondering I found a couple of videos that some may find interesting on the subject. Not new, but, things haven't changed.

So it’s only on the 155 st line x... I quite like it especially when you change to sport mode, it sounds great..

I have the 155 with it on....I like it...makes me think I'm thundering along in a V8 rather than being powered by a hairdryer 😄

I have the 155 st line x , will listen next time out, not noticed anything annoying about engine so far.
Have I missed the answer about can it be switched on/off?
ST Line X 155 Agate Black with comfort pack plus spare wheel( sold :( )

Don't use sport mode. To test floor it in normal and listen, then sport and listen again. 3rd gear is best.....😄
