Sync 4

I've just learnt that svnc 4 will not be compatible with sync 3 so there will be no upgrade for existing Pumas. that's disappointing as it appears there are some very useful additions to what we have now.

I typed Sync 4 into the search bar and it came up blank, hence my post.

Does sync 4 debut on the new Mustang mach-e? New hardware I reckon, so no updates available for existing models.

I really hope it gets OTA updates, sync 3 updating has been a farce.

Yep new hardware and on the Mach-E. I would imagine there could be come conversion possibilities at some point, it's the only reason why I would swap my puma for a new one in 3 yrs if the puma has the sync 4. There's always a spanner in my plans!

who seems to know his way around Ford Sync, hopefully he'll find a solution to change part of the hardware to make it fit.

I think Sync 4 will be just as bad as Sync 3 .... so I don't need it

Everyone will probably use Android auto or Apple whatever anyway. The housing for the screen looks like it may have improved, unless you have the 15" version, which just doesn't look right. Unless they improve the voice recognition, I'm not sure of the advantages...If it comes with something I buy fine, but, it's not something I'd change my car for.

Main advantages are a faster UI, newer hardware, and native wireless car play/android auto.
