I've checked with LV and you are covered going from one tier to a higher one even though your not supposed to. Heard a rumour that some insurers are taking advantage. Also switching to LV from Tesco saved close on £100. Came out at £243 fully comp with protected nc and I had one claim two years ago. To avoid the annual rip-off it's best to change.

Quote me Happy are fuckers. Insurance due in Feb and switching from a 1.5L 150ps Focus to my 200ps Puma ST Performance they are saying my premium will go from £350 to £396. A fresh quote comes in at £296 for the identical cover. Fortunately only paid an extra £6 but takes the piss!

Direct line charged me about £38 extra for moving from my fiesta to the puma on my current insurance. But it was easier for me at the time than sorting new insurance. Will be going elsewhere when it expires early April though

Saved well over £200 moving from Direct Line to LV. Direct line didn't even try to keep the business.

LV are super cheap this year. I'm betting they won't be come renewal time. I seem to have a cycle of Admiral, Churchill and Aviva. Who knows who owns what these days.

2nd year for the Kuga and LV went up quite a bit, now with Lloyds, should be interesting with the Puma in March which is still with LV

I would imagine it'll drop considerably on an actual renewal. My 32k worth of 200ps ST will cost me £60 less than my 12k worth '16 1.5 150ps Focus.

I figure either they have no historical crash data to go on, or it is so cheap because of all the standard safety features.

Just had an email from my insurance company, they are sending me a cheque for £20 because my car has hardly been used since October, not a lot I know but better than nothing
