I think I already know the answer to this, but my partner likes to have the audio prompts when using navigation. However, if she has the radio playing it just talks over the radio without reducing its volume. Her last car reduced the radio while the nav prompt was read out.
I know you can turn up the nav volume, but if she is listening to loud music that doesn’t help
I also know the volume can be set to increase at different speeds; that’s not what I want.
Can you set it so the radio volume temporarily dips whilst the nav prompts are read out? Seems a real oversight if you can’t.
She uses the Ford Sync nav. It’s a shame that they don’t have wireless Apple CarPlay, because if she plugs her phone in it wont fit in the wireless cubby.

Thanks for all the replies; I presume this means there is no muting on the Ford nav then?
