Yeah the Ford one is a bit pricey but looks nice a tidy, only worry would be if it was supported by the same technical team that looks after SYNC

I'm holding off getting Halfords to install my Nextbase 522GW because I really like the look of this Ford Dashcam. Currently no stock. I have some more information if anybody is interested.

A few concerns like why does it give a error if the SD Card is full. If it doesn’t roll round and delete older files that is a deal breaker.

According to that manual:

Overwrite oldest files when card is full
With this setting, Dashcam automatically removes the oldest files from the "Normal video" section to make room for the new ones. This does not delete any crash, event, parking or snapshot file.
The recording file priority is: Crash, Event, Park, Snapshot, Video.

so it looks like it cycles ordinary files, but you could theoretically fill it with "protected" files and cause that error? Or you could accidentally use a card full of other files (from your camera or phone for example)?

I did ask the accessories team when it will be available and received the answer “The Product Team has been referred to and we are expecting a delivery soon, but unfortunately I am unable to provide you with an exact ETA on the product availability.“.
