Video for those thinking about it.

I might think about some all season tyres after watching the video...
More food for thought.

I'm leaning towards the Hankooks as I used to run Ventus V12 on my RX8 and absolutely loved them, so I'm a bit partial. The only problem is that they are only available on 255/35 for R19 to stay somewhat close to the 225/40R19 the Puma has. Wondering if there is anyway I can verify if clearance will be an issue with the wider tyres.

Lots of good reasons for all seasons. If I was changing all 4 in the future I'd fit these. You get the best of both worlds.

I don't see a reason for full winters unless you live rural. Roads are generally impassable as there are vehicles scattered everywhere with summer tyres fitted.

Another question to all of you with more experience (I come from the tropics so seasons are still quite new to me!), would you recommend just purchasing the tyres and fitting them to the current rims (and then switching back to the summer ones next year) or rather getting a second set of rims for the winter along with TPMS sensors, perhaps 16-17 inch ones and fitting tyres that match the current ones diameter (seems 235/45R17 would do the trick)?

Has anyone managed to use the "slippery" mode on the Puma? How did it handle πŸ€”

If I was in a position to change all 4 tyres I'd go for all season tyres and keep them on all year round.

I brought my puma in Feb and commented then about how I found the ecocontact tyres slippery on greasy surfaces. We didn't have a particularly harsh winter either.

Slippery mode just limits torque. I can do that with my right foot and short shift. Car felt limp to me.

Just a gimmick then really.

May be pal, but when you start using drive modes you don't learn how the car feels when it's losing grip. I like to see how things are when I throw it into the first bend on a frosty morning πŸ˜„

I don't think Slippery mode would be useful for full time use.
I had the drive modes for two winters on my Fiesta Active and never used anything but normal and eco.
Also didn't change the tyres.
