What space do you have above ?
No, it doesn't go flat to the bottom. There is space above and below. I put the junk I would only use in an emergency below it, and stuff I want more accessible above it. When it stops blowing a hooley outside, I'll take a pic.
Thanks

How much space Is there between the wheel and the top of the box roughly please.

There is about 130cm or 5 inches in old money above the spare wheel cover (factory fit).

my previous car didn't have one but was fitted with run flats so was more relaxed.

Just measured my mini-spare wheel at 22 1/2 inches which fits snugly into the megabox. Its a dealer fit option, so I still have the drain plug facility and keep tyre inflation kit.
Does your wheel sit at the bottom of the box?
Is the outside diam 22.5 in
What is the tyre size?

Sorry for all the questions.

Hello everyone and anyone:
Got my puma 155ps st x beginning of March-regret not getting spare wheel- so a few more questions for you all please.mine is the same as brochure picture- desert island blue/ black agate roof and mirrors with the 19” Matt black wheels on low profile tyres.
Reading all your comments on spare wheels it appears the dealer ford option was a space saverT125/70R16/96m.now the options are 17/18 /19 in wheel in the brochure- does this mean the 16 mini is suitable for all the sizes available?
Why I ask is you can pick up a second hand mini from various sites with different aspects ie 70/85/90 r16 /17 that suit other fords kuga focus etc 5 stud- will these not do the same job, after all you are only doing 50 mph! To get back to the depot.

16" space saver should be ok, fits my Puma which is on 18". New costs around £130 and includes jack, wheel brace. New car, new wheel - way to go.
Puma ST-Line-Vignale 155 manual, magnetic grey, DAP, electric tailgate. New in December 2021.

Your dealer can supply one, I think the only difference is the box doesn’t have a drain in it if the wheel is ordered from new and also you don’t get a cover for the wheel..Let us know how you get on, I haven’t got round to purchasing one yet.
Sure someone can confirm the mega box dimensions are the same, if they haven’t already.

Yes, I concur, I have tried the 16" wheel out on the front N/S with 18" wheels in the other corners, just to see how it felt. I paid £40 on ebay for mine, inc. delivery and jack.

Hello all again.
Hi charlie61-did you ever try your focus spare wheel on your puma.?did it work?any front calliper fitment issues?
And to everyone- there appears to be 2 different types on the inter web for fords.
1/ solid steel wheel and
2/ steel wheel with holes around the circumference.
Has anyone tried one of these on the ST line x with 19” alloys all round.
If you look at part numbers on the wheel photos supplied earlier in this post you will see indeed that the numbers are the same on the focus-clockwise around wheel:
Ford
37
2160853 DOUQA
3.5/ob/16. ET25
Jx7c-1015-Baa
Thanks again all

P.S some second hand dealers state that focus/c max/kuga /etc are all the same does anyone know if this is true???
