Mini Spare Wheel

Being old and ancient I ordered a Titanium 7 speed Automatic with everything available apart from the tow bar last week.

Having been forced off the road in Guernsey, on the way to the ferry home. It was on a Sunday evening and it punched a inch wide hole in my tyre with zero chance of repair. I now only feel comfortable having a Mini Spare Wheel. My dealer said no problem and added £150 but said it will reduce the size of the mega box which is okay.

On the rural roads around my village punctures are quite common. I don't fancy buying a new tyre every time.

Has anybody else been offered a Mini Spare Wheel or has one?

The only issue I have with mini wheels is that they generally don't fit over the front caliper. I had one for my Mk7.5 ST. If you punctured a front you had to change the rear first and swap that with the front.

May not be a problem in the Puma.

I've decided that if the repair kit fails, I'll call Ford Assist. I've paid for it.

There's no place for a spare in the hybrid version.

That's not too bad is it? Half the mega box. Where are all the tools?

What do you think of the car? We could do with a bit of positivity on the forum. 😁

As requested. It is possible to remove it completely and use the full Megabox.

No drain plug in that megabox, so you can't carry fish or beer on ice? 😁

That’s all right, I will simply turn the car upside down to drain it.

😄😄Very good. Bit tongue in cheek but I was wondering why there isn't one. I've washed mine out a couple of times after carrying muddy outdoor gear, very handy...
