Amazon Apeman, cheap as chips, good picture and very small and discreet.
Dash cam
I have now enquired on two dealers to supply and fit the Ford Sync 3 Dash cam and both are not very interested, probably because information is still very scarce. I am now looking at the Garmin Mini £124 with hardwiring by Halfords included. However I don’t like the idea of it draining the battery in Park mode especially with very limited COVID driving at the moment. Since I retired, my previous cars have difficulty keeping the auto start/stop going so the last thing I want is another device draining the battery while parked in my garage for 99% of the time.

I've installed the dashcam already installed on previous hyundai i10 of my wife, in the right corner of the black part of the windscreen. is NATOL dashcam
I fitted Viofo duo to the left of the mirror / block. It’s not a perfect view but can see the whole of the front of the car so good enough. I fitted the rear camera onto the roof lining but couldn’t get the self adhesive pads to stick. As I didn’t want to damage anything I stuck a small metal plate onto the camera and put a rare earth magnet inside the roof lining - works a treatpb-fr wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:21 pm Hi,
I ended up selling the dashcam I already had (Vantrue N2) when I got the Puma as I found I couldn't find a place on the screen where that big block behind the rear-view mirror didn't block half the field of view. Has anyone else run into this when fitting theirs? I've looked at the Ford one and a Ford garage in Belgium quoted me the 300€ price shown on the web site plus about 160€ fitting. The dealer here in France where I bought the car told me it couldn't be retrofitted (bodes well... not). I am now considereing the Garmin Mini which seems to be the smallest one on the market at the moment.
I also fitted the hard wire kit, and set the cut off voltage to 12.4 volts. Since then we occasionally get “sleep mode” alerts on the Ford pass app if the car hasn’t been used for a day or so but there have been no issues with the battery or starting

You need a Micro2 fuse tap.

I have the same problem with a 70 MAI Dashcam Pro. Half the field of view is blocked and the wipers don't reach high enough to clear the rain on that part of the windscreen.
Did you find a suitable dashcam? I have also thought about splitting the rain sensor cover, mounting the dashcam at the bottom of it and running my wires up into the head lining.

I decided to chance it and order a Garmin Mini on Amazon Market which should be here at the end of the week. 3rd time lucky perhaps! I was thinking along the same lines as you - try and save space by finding some way of fixing it to/in the sensor cover. I'll let you know how it goesDid you find a suitable dashcam?
