Maybe that's the problem, try a large weight on your lap.... I'm trying to get nearer that weight so I'll let you know when I reach it how the seat feels (Probably some time in 2025)

That is weird that we are experiencing exactly the same thing, especially as we both have completely different seats.puma2023 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:21 pm You have hit the nail on the head there!
I had got the pedals and steering bang on, but it’s the back niggle that is my problem too. It’s exactly as you describe for me too. It’s either the lower back section is hurting my kidneys area or the upper back bit is niggling at my spine.
I can adjust position and it’s fine for a bit but then have to move. If I adjust it, it’s fine for a while but then terrible in next time I use the car, even when it’s me who used it last. My Wife has no issues at all.
I have experienced this once before many years ago on a Mk.3 Focus ST (pre facelift). It took a while but it eventually came ok, although it was nothing that I did to fix it.
I dont know what to suggest then other than just putting up with it and seeing if it gets better.

I agree. Very strange almost unexplainable situation that I knew instantly was the same feeling.
Which is one of the problems i have with the current Fiesta ST. It was what I felt the moment i got into the Puma ST and the same in the 'sporty' Kuga. I do not have that feeling in the ST Line X at all - which was one of the primary reasons for picking it. I don't know if it's the shape of the backrest or where the lumbar bar sits but it's just not comfortable at all.
Weirdly with cruise control on( 8.5 hour trip to Oban a few weeks back) and both my legs lifted up a fraction ( because not extended to the pedals) the issue goes so it may be something to do with the angle of the lower part of the seat. You could replicate that using longer bolts and packing washers under the rear mounts of the seat.
As of 10am this morning, it's no longer an issue.

If your car is still under warranty, be careful of the alterations you mention. Both Ford and your insurer could use that against you .UbF wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:19 am Which is one of the problems i have with the current Fiesta ST.
