48V battery replacement costs

The 48 volt battery has never been outside the cabin. When it was in the boot area that was still classed as inside. The water ingress you mentioned is from fluids stored in the boot or megabox area. Push your front seats back as far as they'll go and look for the bright red cover cap and you can find it easily.

About the old placement of the battery,
I only "read" about the previous battery location and its unlucky problem, never bothered that much as I have mine in the newest location.

When I say I thought it was put outside the car or in a in between zone is because who had that issue received confused information by the mechanics, in fact they didn't accept the issue to be covered under warranty.

If one is able to flood its boot then, Ford can't be blamed I think.
