From what I gather they’ve reduced the pins on the mechanism to allow the mirror to travel further into the housing. I would guess the adjustment is about 5mm and no more as any more the mirror would travel outside the casing on the left side creating a gap bigger than they want.

Took my car in to dealers today with speed sign recognition problems and the near side mirror adjustment problems. The fix for the mirror is to remove the glass and remove a lug on the back that prevents the mirror moving further than the drivers side one. The mirror now moves 5 mm further inward and gives a perfect view when my wife moves the seat closer to the steering wheel

My mirror issue is when parking in a tight spot with high kerbs the mirror won’t tilt enough to see the rear wheel.

You need some Kerb Feelers.

A friend of mine, some years ago, bought an American classic, if I remember correctly it was a Plymouth Belvedere, or something like that. Anyway, that had Kerb feelers, not that we knew what they were when he bought it. Never seen them on a UK car though....Should we start a trend? :D

I am glad this thread has been resurrected as I get a complaint from my wife every time she drives the Puma about the poor nearside mirror positioning. I will have to contact my dealer.

Would you be able to let me know the dealer that did this work for you? I have booked my car in with my dealer and they have said it would be very useful if they could speak to the dealer that made this change for you.

I purchased my puma at Christmas and noticed this issue with the wing mirror, after several phone calls to the garage, my car was booked in to the garage yesterday for an update from Ford to resolve this issue.

It’s really east to do yourself in a matter of minutes.
Pop the glass out and look on the back for three pins.

Each one of them need to be trimmed by 1.5mm which I can hear you now asking how you’re supposed to measure that 😁
For mine I just got some side cutters and snipped off something close to that and I’m all sorted now.

It really is that simple.
