Hi all.

Looking for some hive intelligence regarding the Puma and the "Compliance" calculation that appears at the end of a journey when you drive in Eco mode.

When my GF is driving, she always uses the Eco Mode, but, even though she gets 90+ percent for the first 2 metrics, she can only get a max of 60% "Compliance", and although we have searched the handbook and the internet, we cant find any information as to how this is calculated.

Anyone got any ideas about what is being calculated?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, Ford in their wisdom, has removed the journey recording from the FordPass App. This used to give us everything, right down to showing braking to late or cornering to fast, uneconomic acceleration etc. and showing the location on a map where the economy coach sees areas it thinks you could improve!!! Perhaps they received too much feedback telling them where to shove their economy coach :D

As far as I can tell from my own observations, compliance includes (amongst other things) speed and lifting off/braking when the pedal is highlighted on the digital instrument cluster - you'll notice the pedal instruction highlight approaching junctions/roundabouts etc. and the colour will change when you comply.
Sadly, as with many other items, there are no detailed explanations for any of this...
EDIT: Just found this on the Ford Ireland site:
"The innovative Ford Eco Mode system continually assesses the effects of your driving behaviour on your fuel consumption.
The system analyses your speed, gear shifting, braking and anticipation levels, plus the number of short and long journeys you make"

Thanks for reply Shame we can't find any info on how the compliance metric is actually calculated, though, and it's weird that it's so low when compared to the acceleration, deceleration and speed metrics are all regularly in the 90 percentile. Oh well, the search for information goes on.
