Chipping the 125 ST Line X
I had a Blue Spark unit fitted to my previous Puma , a 125 ST-Line X first edition. Definitely brought it up to the 155 spec. I now have a 155 Vignale so am aware of the difference. It's the torque improvement that's the main advantage.

Would be nice if the 155 could be chipped !

I'm sure it doesn't apply to any of the posters on here, but has anyone else noticed that many drivers of performance variants (normally young in age) are actually terrible drivers ?
Yes, they can speeed down a straight road at an impressive speed, but follow them through a twisty road section and they choose the wrong braking points, miss the apex and basically are unable to get the car balanced for a fast exit. And does anyone "heel and toe" anymore ?
Tin hat now firmly in place !

Agreed, which is why you see most of the accidents on or near bends. It also makes me laugh when they slam their seats to the floor and all you can see is the top of their heads just appearing above the steering wheel. For some reason they think it looks cool.Wowzz wrote: βTue Jul 26, 2022 7:49 am I'm sure it doesn't apply to any of the posters on here, but has anyone else noticed that many drivers of performance variants (normally young in age) are actually terrible drivers ?

I must admit I could never get the hang of heel and toe, not that I ever really needed it.

To be fair a lot of modern fast cars are semi-auto sequentials anyway so you cant heel and toe. Modern cars are also so fast that you cant even drive them 'fast' around corners because that fast would be crazy fast. For reference the fastest hot hatches like the Civic Type R, Megan RS, Cupra Leon are faster around the Nurburgring than a Ferrari F50 despite being limited to 155.
Hot hatches arent XR3is any more.

Fully accept that. But, regardless of the type of car, if you don't set the car up for a corner correctly, you will be going through it slower than you could.chris47 wrote: βTue Jul 26, 2022 9:11 am To be fair a lot of modern fast cars are semi-auto sequentials anyway so you cant heel and toe. Which is what young drivers do not appreciate - they have the power, but not the skill.
And yes, heel and toeing is a dying art. Showing my age !
