My own stupid fault

Yesterday next door we’re having their garage reroofed, as both our garages are parallel to each other the guys he was using had blocked me in, as I backed out, I thought I was clear of the door as it was lowering, being distracted by the workmen I stupidly didn’t go far back enough and the door caught the car at the front, it’s scratched part of the front near the Ford badge, I’ll try and upload some photos..

If you wipe over the area with a wet cloth do the scratches disappear? If they do then they are just in the clear coat, if that’s the case you should be able to polish out. A machine polish is best but there are some decent diy kits out there, Meguiars do a scratch removal kit that’s petty good 👍🏻

I have had a bit of a go by hand and some have gone but I haven’t the gear to do more, I’ll see what the quote comes to,

I didn’t realise at the time I was annoyed with the guys blocking me in, I did wonder why the door had stopped and gone back, doh, should have realised…

:( Ouch! I’m sure it’ll be good as new once the specialist has been 👍
