Feeling brave (I cracked the cover on my Focus RS MK3, trying to remove it) I set about removing the engine cover on my Puma ST. Not so difficult. Four mounting posts in four corners. Gentle tug at each position and off it came. Now I pride myself in knowing my way around most engines, but not this. An absolute maze of pipes and wire harness. It would make for an interesting display without the cover.
The cover on the ST is surprisingly chucky and has rubberised feel to it. Thick enough to help dampen engine noise and soft enough (on the inside) too help protect against any component fouling. I am impressed Ford.
Refitting simple, so long you take care to accurately positioned it on the mountain posts.
Oh and the posts, not that I tried to remove them they are simply screwed in to the engine.
So those of you without a cover, I therefore now suspect the posts have become a delete option on some Puma versions?

Did you ever get a response from Ford? For the record, my Vignale was delivered, also without the engine cover

It sure does look as if the engine cover has been deleted. Surly it's not to save money is it?
That is just penny pinching. Na can't be.. Could be Ford trying to be Green saving on plastic's.
Doubt we will ever know... Still think it be would worth while for those of you who have a Puma with no cover and want one to try the parts department to see if one is listed?

After 6 weeks complaining and to and forth to Ford UK customer service, they gave me a £150 voucher at my local Ford dealership to get it done, had it done today and they’ve left a clip off and it’s a bit wonky but I’ll sort that! So if job 2022 guys want an engine cover!! Follow what I did 👍🏻

Simplest of jobs and can't be bothered by the looks of that.

Hi
I've had 3x MK8 Fiesta ecoboosts which 2 came without the covers.
Ford sell the covers for around £50 and you buy 2 fixings which are long plastic posts which screw into holes on the head and the cover pops onto them - the Puma will be the same so will fit those cars without
The covers on the Fiestas are the same as MK4 Focus cars so maybe the Pumas are the same as another model which could possibly be bought from a breakers cheap?
The Fiesta covers are a thick foam not plastic and did quieten the ticking from the engine so as well as looking tidier it did make a difference
