"Frost" sensing wipers

Anyone know if the wipers try to come on automatically at start up in frosty weather - i.e. if I leave the wiper switch on auto., do the wipers try to sweep regardless of whether they are frozen to the screen? I know some makes that require a reset (such as press of a button) at each start up to get round this problem.

Mine haven't done anything during the frost this week, I just let the heated screen do it's job and then did a quick screen squirt and wipe. The auto wipers didn't kick in until some water dripped down the screen as the roof thawed...

Did it on mine a couple of times. For this reason I tend to leave the auto wiper function off.

I turned the auto wiper function off pretty early on. It just seemed to be too insensitive. I trust my own judgement for whether I can see through the windscreen.

I find that if you turn the sensitivity down to minimum there is far less action from them.

This driver trusted his own judgment as to whether he could see through the windscreen....
