Hi All i have no idea how to get Android Auto on my puma Stline. Is it possible to connect wiressly as my phone charger is not compatible with the usb port in my car. Any ideas guys???

You don't provide much detail here but I use a USB-C adapter so that I can plug my phone into the port inside the central box. Very cheap on eBay.

When i go into settings on my touchscreen there is no function for Android Auto - must i connect my smartphone first via usb

What phone, make, model and year?
To answer your question, yes, just plug it into the usb port, either one will do.
Ford Puma ST-Line Vignale 155 Automatic.

I believe so, you must for CarPlay or buy a wireless adapter. I’m sure I will be corrected if wrong :shock:

The phone is samsung galaxy A71 - so to confirm i need a usb c to usb a cable which is put into port in car and then android auto will appear?

One more thing will android auto operate from my phones data plan or is there wifi built into car?

Android Auto uses your phone's data plan.

Is there a free trial with vodafone to get internet in car thus not having to use your phones data plan can anyone advise

@maconner10 I have Sammy A70 and connects fine, DON'T use car WiFi as it's very expensive, free trial with Vodafone only gives you a couple of GB then you're charged massively for excess, use usb-c port and Android auto πŸ‘

As previously said by peeps usb port under armrest is USB-c and keeps your mobile under cover too while connecting/charging, Android auto comes up automatically when you hook up.πŸ‘
