Is the car's WiFi enabled? Normal message when someone tried to do a wifi search - similar to trying to find a Bluetooth enabled device. Nothing to worry about as the system blocked her and requested your permission before letting her in.

Could be somebody has mistakenly typed in your VIN number instead of their own?

No idea if that could be the issue. I’m going to check on my wife’s iPad and see if my car pops up as a hot spot.

If you don't use the wifi bin it, you probably will after 3 months anyway. Your mobile is just as good with voice control also.
