Only went and blew the chimney pot lid type thing onto the wife’s puma . Nasty wee dent and paint chipped .. Right on the edge on the roof at the crease next to the black strip . 😞

Oh bugger!!!

We had a bit of mortar fall off our roof last week but it missed my car. I've been parking it further up the drive since then.

I guess you will be making an insurance claim? Might be worth working out if it will be cheaper (Excess charge and NCD) to claim on your house policy rather than your car policy.

a quick visit to chips away might be cheaper than losing your no claims discount

I don't think chips away would be able to sort that.. looks like a really awkward place to get a knock

Could have been worse . Could have hit mines instead 🙈 main concern is the whole roof will need resprayed 🤷‍♂️I tried to pull it with a glue popper thingy but I think it’s too cold for a proper grip . Know a good reputable guy who has done a few jobs for us and friends so will give him a bell after Christmas. We thought it was a slate but it was the top from the chimney cap from next doors . Who happens to be my mum lol . 2inches to the left and it would have missed 😡 oh well the road next storm that arrives for the cars …. Bigal

"it was the top from the chimney cap from next doors."

Then it is an easy one in terms of cost to you - nothing. You simply have to claim off next door's buildings insurance .

They have the choice of either that, or paying you from their own pocket, so get a proper quote or two ready.

That's not being nasty to your neighbours: it's what insurance is for.
