Chrome Bubbling
Just noticed the "Chrome" bubbling on one side only near the mirror. Can't believe I'll have to take it in for this to be fixed. Is there an easier way with Ford under warranty to send such pictures and get a response, rather than taking the car in, being told they will have to order the bits and making two visits. Hoping none of the rest is going to go the same way.
jake52, how long have had the car and are you the first owner. Doesn't look as though it happened overnight but it must be easy to rectify.
Puma ST-Line-Vignale 155 manual, magnetic grey, DAP, electric tailgate. New in December 2021.
Had it a month now. It's not due to stone chips, just looks very cheap. You can flatten out some of the bubbling but not a good sign. The fact the opposite side is good gives me some confidence that all the chrome isn't going to end up like this.
What model do you have? If not the Vignale, I’d go with Wdf76’s suggestion over the top of rubber for the “effect’ as opposed to the chrome you find on the Vignale but isn’t easy to make out from the pictures. They look more satin/brushed than chrome.
Or, could it be protective film that hasn’t been removed?

Magnetic ST Line X FE. HFPT, Panoramic roof, DAP, Fixed LED, 19” Alloys,
So not a Vignale then?
Unless you bought the car brand new and the dealer fitted it without your permission I can’t see them taking ownership of a poor cosmetic modification by a previous owner.
