Latest tank to tank is 49.77 achieved in normal mode. App figure is 48.7 so close and shows the Pass app can be relied on.

Probably been even better if I didn't have to drive around for hours on end to update my SYNC3

Mines dropped to 31.3mpg this month (6% drop from last month)

Probably about right I think

668 varied miles this month - a bit of motorway, lots of local driving and a trip over the moors and for four of us in Sport mode.

48.8mpg

Pretty pleased with that.

My mate came up from Andover in his 125 Focus ActiveX (non hybrid) and he got 44mpg.

I agree, the MPG is impressive. But isn't it a sad reflection of our times that the average MPG is the most interesting thing about our cars?

Not by a long way. I’m loving quite a bit about the Puma. Never had a Fiesta but I can see now why they are regarded as a great drive.

I hit the throttle yesterday whilst in second gear. First time for a while that I’ve actually shocked myself. Just as well I had traction control on.

The car gets admiring glances quite often and the first 1100 miles I’ve done have been a joy. The icing on the cake would be to get the 55mpg I was getting with my Focus diesel. I’m happy with almost 49 mpg at the moment though as I’ve been a bit heavy footed at times just for the sheer joy of it.

I see where you are coming from though - modern cars are a bit bland compared to our old rust buckets back in the 70’s. Cars had attitude back then 😉

It is, and I agree. It's been drummed into us for years now. What's the mpg, is it good on fuel, is it economical, what are you getting to the gallon...

Never, it handles well, little body roll, handy mid range punch, makes you feel good, nippy, stops on a sixpence, which the Puma does etc.

Draconian legislation, incompetent road users, coupled to a speed kills mantra means that the days of a Sunday morning b road blast and driving enjoyment are a thing of the past.

I got 48mpg this month....

Mine reduced by 13% to 41.5 in June. It had 2x100 mile trips but all other journeys were just 3 or 4 miles
